Strategic Planning

         Strategic planning is essential in any business. It serves as the roadmap and shows the organization where it wants to be in the future and how to get there. A good strategic plan uses key stakeholders to develop the plan and seeks to obtain buy-in from everybody involved in carrying out the mission.

         A typical strategic plan is for a one to three-year period. A good strategic plan will also have methods for measuring and evaluating success. If the evaluations are good, then continue as planned. If things do not look so good, then it is time to revisit the strategic planning process and develop a new one based on lessons learned.
